Hollywood Studio District Neighborhood Council
!
We thank the Council for supporting their local theatres!

9 O’Clock Players Theater for ChildrenĀ  founded in 1929, is a service of Assistance League of Southern California and is one of the oldest theaters for children in the country. Theater for Children is operated and supported entirely by volunteer members of the NOP Auxiliary who, in addition to acting in plays, handle set and costume design, technical work and every other aspect of production.

Each year, the Nine O’Clock Players present two stage plays chosen from classic children’s literature and include a full complement of dancing, singing and special effects. Of the 17,000 children who attend , approximately one third are economically or physically challenged. NOP provides both bus transportation and free admission to these children. The productions are also offered to school groups at special ticket prices and on weekends families can enjoy a culturally rewarding experience that is both entertaining and affordable.
