Mission Statement: Independent Shakespeare Company serves our community through creating inspiring, accessible theater and bringing it to as wide an audience as possible. ISC was founded in 1998 by actors sharing a passion for classical works. The focus was stripping back the conventions of contemporary theater and discovering efficient, entertaining ways to bring great works to a modern audience.

ISC is committed to fostering diversity in the theater. Theater companies are perfectly situated to take the lead in creating collaborations that span racial, cultural, and economic differences, as well as generational and experiential divides. GET THERE ANY WAY YOU CHOOSE: FOR BICYCLE ROUTES visit www.BikeMetro.com. There are no bikeracks, but since this is an outdoor festival, park your bike near you anywhere you can keep an eye on it. Don’t obstruct pathways (actors use them and so do the visitors and it’s pretty dark to see the ground) and the view to the stage. Most people sit on blankets, so their eyeline is very low.

PARKING: free in the Old Zoo parking lot. Parking here is plentiful and free, but can be a bit disorienting as there are several connected lots. Stay calm, follow the signs, and look for ISC volunteers who are there to help you!

Unfortunately the bus to Griffith Park stops running at 6pm, so your best bet is to carpool or ride your bike.
