I’m gonna be there. If you’ve never seen them or haven’t been to this beautiful hip theater complex before, you can now actually kill both birds with one stone.
They’re only performing 4 shows of their Holiday Special. Here’s the info on the group:
Lost Moon Radio Jingles All the Way
LOS ANGELES, December 4, 2012 — LOST MOON RADIO, named “Top of the Fringe” and “Best of Comedy” at the 2012 Hollywood Fringe Festival, unveils “The Lost Moon Radio Holiday Special” to audiences across Los Angeles, as it brings out new and favorite characters, sketches, and songs that will make even the crabbiest gift-wrapping elf want to sing along. Lost Moon Radio starts its sleigh ride at Atwater Village Theatre December 7 & 8 and winds its way to a second partnership KPCC’s Crawford Family Forum in Pasadena December 14, and finally hands out the rest of its gifts at Club Fais Do Do on December 15.
The Lost Moon Radio Holiday Special finds DJ Jupiter Jack, a remnant of the 70’s free-form radio movement, struggling to embrace the spirit of the holidays. Harkening to Holiday specials of the 80s, Jack finds himself swarmed with visitors intent on showing him the true reason for the season. Part sketch comedy, part rock concert, part metaphysical rambling, Lost Moon Radio’s holiday offering will bring holiday cheer to even the Scroogiest.
Audiences can get involved in the merriment with live-band karaoke after each performance accompanied by the ever-popular and wildly handsome Moon Units.
In addition to this year’s accolades at the Hollywood Fringe, the company’s appearance at the 2011 Hollywood Fringe Festival earned them LA Weekly’s “Best of the Hollywood Fringe” distinction and the festival’s “Best of Comedy” and the company hosted a spirited and lauded LA Weekly Stage Awards.
THE LOST MOON RADIO HOLIDAY SPECIAL features actors Ryan Harrison, Martha Marion, Dan Mahoney, Frank Smith, Dan Oster, and Will Greenberg as well as musicians Rich Ramberg, Michael Wells, Dylan Ris, and Brenton Kossak.
