Theatrum Elysium is putting together its design team for the first show of the 2013 season, Steve Martin’s The Underpants.
We are looking for designers in the areas of LIGHTS, SOUND, SET, and PROPS.
All of these positions are paid positions. Designers at Theatrum Elysium receive a $100 stipend for the show, plus a design bonus of up to $150 for the work completed. Additionally, we will put special priority on making sure that you receive photographs and/or video of your work for your own portfolio.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for FEARLESS artists. We need designers who are excited about creating worlds in non-traditional theatre spaces. We want designers who are excited to come in to production meetings with lots of new ideas to share and who are eager to have their artistic vision realized. Theatrum Elysium is a theatre company that loves and celebrates the theatrical art form, and believes that through tremendous effort we can achieve the highest form of that art. We are looking for designers who also believe in putting out tremendous effort to see their vision realized.
If this description sounds like you, please send an email to Managing Director, Chris Lang – firstname.lastname@example.org, with a cover letter describing your qualifications and the type of artist that you are, a resume or CV, digital samples of your work (if available), and a list of at least 3 times where you will be available for an interview. We will be interviewing candidates during the week of Nov 12, so please plan accordingly.
The production dates are as follows: Tech week begins Mon, Feb 18th, 2013 and the first preview is on Wed, Feb 27th. The services of our designers are required through the preview week.
Thank you for your interest in Theatrum Elysium, and we look forward to getting to know you and your art! Please see our website at www.livetruthfully.org for more information about Theatrum Elysium.
