Casting for ambitious, new, & fun Hollywood Fringe show; networking/partying involved

Catamitus: Love Slave to God, is casting for its world premiere at the 2012 Hollywood Fringe. Suddenly open roles need filling ASAP: A young adult male lead, and 1-5 chorus members of any kind, who are comfortable with controversial, adult, and homoerotic subject matter, and yoga. This works as a sort of invited-audition: Actors will meet with the producer and the director for a reading. Resume, headshot, and an example of the actor’s work would be appreciated.

The play is a sexy, experimental dark comedy about the horrific ascent to enlightenment. It has traditional theatrical elements and a modern story that explores what the end of the world really means. The lead role of Ben will be distributed among the lead and the chorus, incorporating heavy involvement from the chorus in many ways: Acting, costumes, props, movement, etc.  The play is 45 minutes, followed by the party, and not all of the play will be staged, but a lot will also be filmed.  It’s a challenging, ambitious, ensemble piece, and every show ends in a Dionysian party, where you can network with all sorts of fun local, national, and international artists at the Fringe, which is of course the largest arts festival in the west, as you may have noticed!
