He has assembled a fine cast, but the awkward scene changes undermine the rhythm and pace of the piece, one important speech is virtually obliterated by the sound of moving furniture, and another is drowned out by over-loud sound effects.
Neal Weaver – Backstage

SWEET
Staying true to founder Kenne Guillory’s unofficial motto “Go big or go home,” this resourceful production brings new perspective to a timeless drama by meeting the demands of a challenging space.
Barnaby Hughes – Stage and Cinema

SWEET
A Few Good Men is a classic in its own right that everyone should see at least once.
Ebony Sargent – LASplash

SWEET
This production presented brilliantly by the Rise Above Theatre Movement, and wonderfully directed by Kenne Guillory, is currently playing at the Sky Lounge in North Hollywood.
Randall Gray – Voices

SWEET
All in all, A Few Good Men makes for a memorable night at the theater, and Rise Above and Guillory clearly intend to make their mark or die trying. Often I see a show and think, “Well that was cute, but what exactly was the point?” Something tells me I won’t ever walk out of a Rise Above production with that thought in my head.

LemonMeter About the Author: We don’t “review” shows here at the Lemon, rather we "review" reviews by gathering them from a variety of local review sites around the internet, judging them to be positive or negative, then forming an aggregate score that we call a LEMONMETER RATING, showing how well that show has been reviewed in total.
