OUT OF MY HEAD: 100% – SWEET

SWEET
On Saturday of opening weekend, several of the voices, powerful though they were, veered off-pitch. On-pitch, though, were the pacing and visual panache, overseen by director Jacob Harvey and handily facilitated by Maxwell T. Robin’s stylish set and mood-setting projections.
Daryl H. Miller – LA Times

SWEET
Other than this minor caveat, I heartily recommend Out Of My Head as an introduction to Ryan Scott Oliver’s clever songs, and to some particularly talented young triple-threats, most or all of whom may be new to you, but certainly won’t be for long.
Steven Stanley – StageSceneLA

SWEET
Director Jacob Harvey and musical director Ryan Cantwell pull all the pieces of this personality puzzle together beautifully, making each moment the fullest expression of itself possible.
Ellen Dostal – Musicals in LA

SWEET
The whole cast is pretty good, and Oliver’s fourteen songs are impressively clever, though the book by Kristen Guenther could stand a second draft. Director Jacob Harvey’s staging is fun and energetic.
Lyle Zimskind – LAist

I’m not sure you can even classify the LA Times review as a review. What is that?

It is a bit scattered, but from what I’m getting about the show, it’s a bit scattered as well.
