Two Geese to Star at LA Weekly Pajama Party

Hey, I’m just passing on the info.

Apparently a couple of geese  named Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas (I’m still searching for the irony here) will be the stars of the LA Weekly Awards next week.

Here’s the breaking blurb about the talented fowl:

They’ll be presenting a short scene from a pivotal moment of real estate negotiation in Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross, at the 32nd Annual L.A. Weekly Middle-School Theater Awards Sleepover, Monday evening April 4 at the El Rey. We encouraged them to do a scene from Oleanna, but they’d have nothing to do with it. Gertrude and Alice have now learned their lines, which remain largely incomprehensible, though their drama coach, Craig Anton, said they were coming along just fine. Enunciation and timing appear to be the issues of the week. Can they get it together by April 4???!!! Doors open at 6:30, show starts at 7:30.

I’ll be there.

Still deciding on my “evening wear”.  I might just wear a Teddy and call it a night.

Get your tickets now, Lemon Heads.

It’s sure to be a honkin’ good time.
