BALLROOM WITH A TWIST: 100% – SWEET

SWEET
His fluidly staged, marvelously high-caliber entertainment (with a couple of also-ran American Idol singers, Gina Glocksen and David Hernandez, thrown into the mix) moves seamlessly from fast numbers to slow ballads, from dance to song and back again. Athletic bodies draped with Randall Designs’ gorgeous costumes cavort through Van Amstel’s well-orchestrated spectacle, which also celebrates diversity with its casting of various races and body shapes.

Wow! What a wonderful show! A fabulous night out on the town! This eye-popping and awe-inspiring marathon of music, songs and dazzling dancers, covering Broadway, ballroom and hip-hop styles… was a highly entertaining, sassy and sensual extravaganza!

But don’t wait folks. “ballroom with a twist” is only here until February 13th. And the beautiful Jane Seymour is your Celebrity Host from February 4-6th. This is a great evening with a few surprises! And the NoHo Arts District and El Portal Theatre are a great place to be. Great theatre, great restaurants. Devoted fans of both “Dancing with the Stars” and “American Idol” will not be disappointed, and new fans will be created. Lots of sequins, feathers and sparkle, AND entertainment we are lucky to have so close to home.

Costumes by Randall Designs in blacks, blacks and reds are fab. Background projected visuals of explosive light and color add fuel to the fire, as this is one HOT evening you do not want to miss! Through February 13 only! You know you were born to dance, so get out and go!!
