SWEET
With a well-performed good-versus-evil story between Bobby Strong (David Laffey), Caldwell B. Cladwell (Michael Heimos) and a solid supporting cast, “Urinetown” will definitely leave its musical savvy audiences tickled with laughter and happiness.
Parimal M. Rohit – Campus Circle

SWEET
Whether the title Urinetown amuses you or disturbs you, it should at least intrigue you – and hopefully motivate you to the Morgan-Wixson’s production. Just as they advertise, “Urine for a good time.”
Sarah Taylor Ellis – Compositions on Theatre

SWEET
Urinetown, a spoof on a drought stricken future, where urination is no longer free, made a splash at the 1999 Fringe Fest, and its successful run off-Broadway. Now LA theater-goers can experience Urinetown in all its glory.
Bonnie Priever – Tolucan Times

SWEET
“Who would see a show with a title like this?” asks Little Sally, a ragtag gamine, during Urinetown, The Musical. Well, a lot of people did see it when it was on Broadway and won three Tony Awards. The Morgan-Wixson Theatre’s production of the Mark Hollman (music and lyrics) and Greg Kotis (book and lyrics) musical is packing them in. As it should, it’s funny, entertaining and makes some sociopolitical points.
Lynne Bronstein – Santa Monica Mirror

SWEET
One can only hope that director Rachelle’s return to Los Angeles for Urinetown The Musical will be the first of many collaborations with choreographer Hooks. In the meantime, don’t miss this stellar production, one of the best ever for the Morgan-Wixson Theatre and the Santa Monica Theatre Guild, still going strong after sixty-six years of entertaining West Side audiences.
Steven Stanley – StageSceneLA

SWEET
‘Urinetown’ has an exceptional cast, sensational choreography, laugh-out-loud jokes and asides, but ultimately it is a spoof of musicals with an ending that left me wishing writer Greg Kotis had chosen a different direction.
Sue Pascoe – Palisadian Post
